Texas Style

Well, I have to say I’m sorry I’m not keeping up with my blog, but the reason is that I’m too busy traveling. Being this a supposedly travel blog, I might be forgiven, right?!

Anyway I’m not posting about something specific, but just to tell you to take all the chances you get to travel, because it’s always something that enrich you.

That said, I’m in Texas right now. This precise moment I’m inside the Cowtown Coliseum Arena in Fort Worth, waiting for the rodeo to start in about an hour. That’s how I found the time to write.

My hostel in in Irving, a suburb 15 miles from Dallas. It’s not the cleanest one I’ve ever seen, but I like it so much because is more of a little house than a hostel, and I came to know a lot of different people from all around the world. Once again I have to say I don’t understand you Australian guys! How the hell do you speak?! Just kidding, I wish I could speak like you. It’s just a little bit more complicated for me the listening.

Anyway one great thing that happened yesterday just arrived was that the guy who owns the place told me about a kind of Diner where every Thursday you can find tacos at 1 buck. So I went there, one of the few places where you can eat close to the hostel, and found this amazing place.

It doesn’t even look like a restaurant. In fact it’s more like a mini market with a butcher shop and another part of the shop that works as a restaurant. I don’t even know how to explain to you how strange and different it looks from the classic shop. Plus the employees don’t even speak any word of English. Bottom line?! I had the best tacos ever of all my life. Awesome.

This post is getting a little confusing but you know, too many things to say, too short time. So I’ll leave you at some of my pictures hoping you’re going to like them. I took them in Downtown Dallas, Fort Worth (in the historic district of Stockyard) and in Irving where I’m staying. I promise I’ll try to talk to you soon. In the meanwhile take care.
